Mzee Julius Musili Mwania: A giant devoted to peacemaking

Julius Musili Mwania Elizabeth Kavesa Makueni County Kibwezi

Julius Musili Mwania will be remembered for his numerous good deeds, which included his acclaimed role as a peacemaker in the community. His love for people was so great that he never wanted to see conflict, which was why he often went out of his way to help people mend fences. There have been numerous handshakes to his credit, many alliances were formed where tension and enmity simmered, and many truces brokered not only within his family but also in his neighbourhood.

Mzee Musili was a friendly, charming person and a true father to me, his son-in-law, Hon Jonathan Muli. We will all miss him so much.

He was born in January 1930 at Kibwezi, Makueni County. He married the late Beatrice Yata Musili and they were blessed with Sabina Ndimu, Tabitha Wanzuu, Mary Yaati, Janetteter Nzembi, Ann Kasiva, Litha Kasyunthi, Bernard Maluku, Esther Mueni and Elizabeth Kavesa.

Mzee Musili will be buried on January 19 at his home in Kilivi Village, Makueni County. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
