A beautiful and bright light was put out. My husband, my best friend, the love of my life and father of our children was taken to be with the Lord in an unexpected accident. Allan and I had big plans for this year: to travel to Asia, to build a better home for our girls, to both do better in so many ways, and anticipate the upcoming birth of our daughter in a few short weeks.

I thank God for allowing me to share 13 amazing years with the kindest, funniest, happiest, most amazing man I have ever known.

He reminded me to live life to the fullest as it is too short, to forgive any wrong and to spread kindness to all. He was a wonderful husband to me who always put our family first, an amazing father to our girls, a wonderful son and a great brother. Most of you know him through pictures, but I lived life with him. He remained the man I met and loved for so long.

He touched every life he met in so many ways. He shared smiles, meals and love with everyone he met. He was the glue that held our community together and radiated so much light and positivity. Thank you for the time I spent with you, and for helping me see the good in everyone, Allan. Most of our friends know that when we sit down and I’m asked what I love most about my spouse, my answer for all these years is the fact that he saw the good in every person.

I will keep your memory alive through your young daughters and remind them every day of the wonderful man you were and how much you loved them and how hard you worked for them. In this tragic, painful, unexplainable and very dark moment in my life, your little girl is kicking and reminding me that God is going to give us a new life.

I look back and I shed tears and smile because of the man you were. You made me happy in many ways. You reminded me of my strengths each day and you empowered me to be who I hoped to be for our girls.
